Aliens invaded earth and turned everyone into zombies !

Zombaliens is a hybrid of retro FPS and immersive sim, it's the fast, straightforward gameplay of retro FPS in non-linear, highly interactive maps, so you can play in different ways. You can even use stealth or kill everyone by throwing chairs at them (though it may not be the most effective). Also features fire and electricity propagation and a shrinker weapon.

Demo features 3 levels from episode 1 and 2 including a boss fight.

I know this page is old now, but I am getting quite frustrated with the boss on Death from Above. Any tips?

I've been reworking episode 2, not sure when I'm gonna update it, but the death from above boss is one I wanted to test a bit more. 

I think stuff that helps is knowing where medkits are because they stop the poisoning.

I think rapid fire weapons may be the best since the boss is hard to hit, though if you can land a rocket, it does a lot of damage, sometimes when it enters vents at ground level, it can't dodge the rockets.

the current version should have sound cues when the boss gets near so you can hear if it tries to sneak up on you. the 1st version didn't have those sounds and it made the boss melee attacks devastating.

the boss glows in the light, so use a flashlight

I think next update will nerf it in some ways. there is a big chance it breaks saves too since all levels are changed.

will definitely give it another go with these strats in mind. much appreciated & great game. I've never played anythin quite like it

Thanks. Actually, if you can pinpoint what makes the boss difficult / frustrating in particular, maybe that's something I would change.

I love Zombaliens, its a great mix of many elements of early FPS games and of immersive sims, and still has its own unique style. Great work!
